Whether it be the demands of your unique circumstances, or feeling the weight of world events, it is possible we find ourselves in a state of chronic stress. This might show up as tension & tightness in your body: tight neck & shoulders, knots in your belly, low back & hip pain/tightness, etc.
Your exhale is your one of most powerful tools for calming the system. It's your remote control for peace. Try extending your exhale now; just making it slightly longer than your inhale. Repeat a few times. See if you are able to add a little breath...you might start to feel tightness in the abdomen/chest softening and the inhale deepening with ease.
