Gentle & slow, and sometimes we flow. This practice is focused on slowing down—holding poses longer to be more mindful of proper alignment, helping to build more strength and flexibility over time. This class is beginner-friendly, but also perfect for the seasoned practitioner looking to go deeper in their yoga practice.

WHAT IS A "FLOW?"

A Yoga "Flow" is a style of movement. A Flow style class often moves with the breath (Inhale: 1 pose, Exhale: next pose). Flow classes have a lot of up & down (standing, down to the mat) & help build heat in the body. Watch the video clip below for an example:

Grand Canyon Yoga Teacher Training: A 200-Hour RYT Training for the Modern Teacher

(Coming Soon!)

Are you ready to move beyond alignment cues and cultivate a teaching practice built on empathy, integrity, and genuine connection? This is more than a yoga teacher training—it's an opportunity to become a compassionate, trauma-sensitive, and empowered teacher.

Our unique hybrid 200-hour RYT training is a journey of self-discovery and professional development, designed to prepare you for the realities of teaching in the modern world.

What Makes Our Training Different?

  • A Hybrid Learning Model: Our curriculum combines 10 weeks of flexible online learning with a transformative 5-day in-person retreat, allowing you to build a strong theoretical foundation before diving into embodied practice.
  • Rooted in Core Values: Our teaching philosophy is guided by Compassion, Curiosity, Nuance, and Agency. We believe the best teachers are those who can hold space for every student's unique experience, without judgment.
  • Trauma-Informed from Day One: Our curriculum is built on the principles of trauma-sensitive yoga from the book Overcoming Trauma through Yoga. You'll learn to use language and practices that prioritize safety, choice, and empowerment.
  • Inclusive & Accessible by Design: We go beyond standard modifications. You'll learn to teach with an anti-ableist lens, exploring chair yoga and variations for different bodies, all while challenging diet culture and promoting true inclusivity.
  • A Path of Ethical Integrity: We address the hard questions. Our training includes dedicated modules on cultural sensitivity, deconstructing guru culture, and navigating professional ethics so you can teach from a place of authenticity and respect.

This program will be Registered with Yoga Alliance, so you'll graduate as a highly qualified teacher, ready to lead classes that are not only physically powerful but also emotionally and spiritually safe.
